During the sanding and refinishing be prepared for us to make some noise in the home. This is something that is expected with the high quality devices that we are using to complete the sanding process. The system that we use to complete the flooring sanding is a dust containment technology that is used to vitally leave a home dust free after sanding of the hardwood floor has been completed. The equipment has a tube and very high suctioned that sucks up the dust as it is created. All of the dust is then transferred through this tubing system and delivered to a container that is outside the home. We are able to transport and dispose of the dust at another location. This system is great and works wonders with the dust, but it will not leave it 100 % dust free. It will contain almost all, but some dust will occur. This means that covering anything that you do not want to have dusty should occur before the job gets started.
After the hardwood floors have been sanded. It is time to apply the finish. The finish is a process that is completed by our trained professionals and leaves the floors looking as good as new if not better. We are good at what we good and we want you to see that we can do all that we say we can do. Once the finish has been applied it does take time to dry. Depending on the type of finish and the process completed it can vary from product to product. We will work to help you plan for this event and help with the timeline so everyone is informed before, during, and after the process has been completed.
The finish will dry and when it has. The work still is not done. It is now time to protect that beautifully restored hardwood floor. To prevent any damage, it is always suggested to cover any furniture bottoms with felt pads. The left pads allow the furniture to smoothly ride across the finish of the floor and works to minimize any scratches that could occur. Having rugs placed at each of the doors also helps to collect debris from shoes to also prevent any damage. We suggest to shy away from rugs with rubber backs. They tend to cause yellowing on the floor over time. Keeping your hardwood floors looking the best with proper maintenance will ensure that the finish will last for many years to come.
